What does the Ruijie firewall do?
Inspects traffic based on its content
Intrusion prevention (IPS), antivirus, URL filtering, application control based on deep packet inspection and threat intelligence all run on the same device. On Z Series models, these services are bundled into a single licence package.
Connects branches and remote users
IPsec VPN creates encrypted tunnels between sites, and SSL VPN provides secure access for remote workers.
Makes writing rules easier
Through port scanning and traffic learning, it identifies the services on the network and suggests access rules. Thanks to policy simulation, a new rule can be tried out before it affects live traffic.
Works as one network with switching and wireless
Through Ruijie Cloud and the mobile app, the firewall, switches and access points are monitored, configured remotely and updated together. Guest network authentication via a cloud-based captive portal can also be managed from the same platform.
Finds faults faster
The built-in diagnostics centre automatically analyses network problems and shows the steps to resolve them.

Frequently asked questions
Do we need to replace our existing switches?
No. The Ruijie firewall also works with switches from other brands. The benefit of single-screen management, however, is fully realised in networks built with Ruijie products.
Is it suitable for hotels and schools?
Yes. Hotels, schools and hospitals with large numbers of access points and guest users are among the scenarios that benefit most from Ruijie’s centrally managed setup.
Do we need an additional solution for 5651 logs?
Yes. The firewall’s own logs do not include a timestamp signature. We set up the solution that fits your needs together, as part of 5651 logging.
